MOSCOW: Russia released a video soon after allegations that Ukraine launched a drone attack on Russian President Vladimir Putin's state residence in the Novgorod region. The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage of a drone being shot down.

The video was captured at night. The footage shows a broken drone lying in a snowy forest. Russia alleged that it was a planned attack and that it was a terrorist attack and a personal attack on Putin. The attack began at 7 pm on December 28. A mass drone launch was carried out against Putin's residence. However, the Russian Defense Ministry has stated that the Russian president's house was not damaged.

However, Ukraine responded by saying that the allegation is false and fabricated to disrupt peace talks. The European Union has also accused it of an attempt to block peace efforts. Now, the US National Security Agency has also come out to clarify that Ukraine did not launch an attack targeting Putin or any of his residences. They stated this based on the assessment made by the Central Intelligence Agency that there was no evidence of an attack attempt against Putin. US President Donald Trump also dismissed Russia's accusations by sharing a media report questioning whether an attack took place.
