JAKARTA: Social media has been taken aback by a mistake made by a young man in Indonesia. Days have passed since the young man’s marriage. It's time to celebrate life with feasts and honeymoons. The marriage came after one year of a romantic relationship. Despite the much-desired marriage, the young man’s face is no longer happy. Fear and disbelief have replaced his joy. There is a reason for that.

The young man is a native of Naringal, Indonesia. He met twenty-six-year-old Adinda Kanza last year through social media. The two became friends through social media chats and that friendship soon turned into love. They decided to meet in person soon.

The young man says that whenever they met, Kanza was wearing traditional Muslim dress, so he couldn't see her face even once. He did not find it a problem and saw it as a sign of his love’s devotion.

So, they decided to get married. Kanza had said that she was an orphan, so they got married at the young man’s house. The young woman wore only five grams of gold. They had not registered their marriage.

The young man was not allowed to be near her with the excuse that she was menstruating and so on. Twelve days after the marriage, the young man became suspicious when he noticed that Kanza was not talking well with his family and was wearing a burqa even inside the house.

The young man then inquired about Kanza in detail and discovered shocking information. Kanza was not an orphan as she had claimed; her parents were alive. However, it was something else that crushed the young man.

The young man realized that he had been in love with and married a man. Kanza's parents told the young man that they did not know about this deception and then informed the police.

The police stated that Kanza's aim was to steal the young man’s property. Kanza sounded like a woman and had dated women in his life. However, the police believe that he enjoyed dating men by impersonating as a woman.
