Actor Irshad Ali has reacted to the complaint filed against actress Shwetha Menon over allegedly acting in erotic films and circulating such videos. The actor expressed his protest by putting up a sarcastic note on his Facebook page. Sharing the poster of his film 'Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam', Irshad asked if he would also get into legal trouble over the character he played in the film.

'As far as I know, Meera Jasmine is currently in America. Even after bringing in Sethurama Iyer for investigation, I couldn't find out if she contacted any lawyer! Should I apply for anticipatory bail, or go into hiding?'

The complaint against Shwetha Menon was filed by public activist Martin Menachery. In his complaint, he alleged that all the films in which Shwetha Menon acted previously contained obscene scenes. The complaint includes a long list of films, such as Rathinirvedam, Paleri Manikyam, which were censored and released, an advertisement for a contraceptive condom in which Shwetha had previously acted, and Kalimannu, which depicted a childbirth.
