Vincy’s issues were resolved in the set itself; 'no further incidents after giving a warning'

KOCHI: Vincy Aloysius faced a difficult situation during the shooting of a film in Edappal. The problem started after Vincy publicly stated on social media that he would not work with actors who use drugs. During a rehearsal, Vincy said that she witnessed a white substance was seen coming out of another actor's mouth. When Vincy went to change his clothes, the actor offered to assist her with. Vincy also reported that the actor spoke to him in a sexually suggestive way.

Vincy raised these concerns with the film set’s grievance redressal committee, which included women members. After Vincy reported to the committee, she withdrew his complaint. The director, cinematographer, and producer gave the actor a strict warning, and no further issues occurred. Vincy cooperated fully to complete the film and chose not to file a police complaint to avoid harming the film’s progress.

The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) has formed a three-member committee to investigate any complaints related to drug use or harassment on film sets. The committee members are Vinu Mohan, Sarayu, and Ansiba. AMMA officials have spoken with Vincy and expressed their full support for.
