NEW DELHI: Amidst intensifying protests against the Pahalgam terror attack, footage emerged of an employee carrying a cake to the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi. The incident comes after the withdrawal of security at the Pakistan High Commission. The incident evoked strong responses on social media, with many even expressing doubts on whether Pakistan officials were celebrating the Pahalgam tragedy.
Despite the journalist's query about the need for the cake at this hour of grief, the youngster, supposed to be the official at the High Commission, remained silent. According to the report, the man shown in the video footage is an employee of the Pakistan High Commission.
People gathered in the area to protest over the incident, while security has been beefed up in the area. A BJP protest march is also underway at the High Commission in the wake of the terror attack. Some BJP workers tried to break through the barricade. Delhi Police took steps to withdraw the security arrangements previously made for the Pakistan High Commission.
