NEW DELHI: A cockroach was allegedly found in the prasadam received from the Srisailam Devasthanam temple in Andhra Pradesh. The cockroach was found inside the laddoo received by a devotee from the temple. The pictures and videos of this were shared on social media by Sarasachandra K. The incident that happened on Sunday has led to strong protests.
The video in which a dead insect can be seen in the middle of the laddoo was posted on social media. The man has filed a complaint to the temple's executive officer. Sarasachandra mentioned in the complaint that the laddoos were made by a negligent staff. He had visited the temple on Sunday. A dead cockroach was found in the laddoo received as prasadam. The complaint also stated that this problem should be resolved.

Immediately after that, the temple authorities gave an explanation about the incident. The laddoo is prepared in a proper manner by maintaining cleanliness in the temple. There was proper supervision of the employees. Srinivasa Rao, executive officer of the Srisailam Devasthanam temple, responded that there is no possibility of finding a cockroach in it. He also clarified that devotees need not worry about the prasadam.
