MUMBAI: Four workers lost their lives and two others were left in critical condition following a gas leak at a pharmaceutical company in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. The workers died after inhaling nitrogen gas that leaked from the company. The incident took place at Medley Pharma, located in the Boisar industrial area, about 130 km from Mumbai.
According to officials, the leak happened between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. inside one of the company’s units. Six workers were exposed to the gas and rushed to the hospital immediately. Doctors later confirmed the deaths of four, while the other two remain in intensive care at a local hospital.
