Lashkar commander killed, terrorists' homes destroyed: India strikes in retaliation to Pahalgam terror attack

NEW DELHI: India, which is targeting the leaders behind the Pahalgam terror attack, has started a retaliation. Altaf Lalli, a commander of the Pakistani terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, who was hiding in a hideout in Kashmir, has been killed. The terrorist was hiding in the Kolnar Ajas area of ​​Bandipora district in Jammu and Kashmir. Two security personnel were also injured in the firing.

The houses of terrorists Adil Hussain Thokar and Asif Sheikh, who were involved in the Pahalgam attack, were razed to the ground in Jammu and Kashmir. This is the first such action. The houses were razed on Thursday night after the family members present in the houses were evacuated. A reward of Rs 20 lakh has been announced for the heads of these terrorists. It is reported that those in Pakistani terrorist camps across the border are fleeing for their lives. A massive search is underway for Pakistani nationals Hashim Musa alias Sulaiman and Ali Bhai alias Talha Bhai, who are suspected to be behind the Pahalgam attack.

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, who arrived in Jammu and Kashmir, met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Kumar Sinha. He reviewed the security situation with Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar at the headquarters of the Army's Northern Command.

This morning, when Pakistani troops opened fire at some places along the Line of Control, the Indian Army retaliated. Pakistan refused to release BSF soldier Parnam Kumar Shah, a native of West Bengal, who had mistakenly crossed the Line of Control in Ferozepur, Punjab, the previous day.

Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has openly admitted that Pakistan supported terrorist activities and is feeling the consequences. He said that Pakistan provided funding and support to carry out terrorist activities in India. At the same time, he took a stand that Pakistan was not involved in the Pahalgam attack. The confession was made in an interview given to Britain's Sky News.

"Three decades ago, we did dirty work for the US and the Western countries, including Britain. We provided support, training and funding to terrorists. It was wrong, and we suffered because of that."

Terrorists might be freedom fighters: Pakistan

Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that those who carried out the attack in Pahalgam might be freedom fighters.

"We do not know who the attackers in Pahalgam were. Perhaps they were freedom fighters," Dar said at a press conference with Pakistani ministers and National Security Council officials in Islamabad.
