MUMBAI: More information has emerged on the death of actress and model Shefali Jariwala (42). Her relatives told police that Shefali was taking regular medication for skin care and an anti-ageing injection every month. Relatives said that a special pooja was performed at home on the day of her death. It is suspected that the actress, who had observed a special fast for the pooja, took the injection in an empty stomach.

The police recorded the statements of eight including her relatives. The police have found two boxes containing anti-aging medicines, skin glow medicines and vitamin medicines from her house. Relatives said that Shefali had taken the medicines without the doctor's advice. Her ashes were immersed in Juhu beach yesterday. Her husband and actor Parag Tyagi performed the rituals.

Shefali was found unconscious at her house at Andheri in Mumbai, on the night of June 27. Her husband Parag Tyagi and his family rushed her to the hospital, but could not save her life. The initial conclusion is that the cause of death was a heart attack. Shefali became famous with the song ‘Kaanta Laga’ released in 2002. The song became a big hit at that time. She also acted in some films, including the Salman Khan film Mujhse Shaadi Karoge.

She participated in several reality shows and dance shows. She became a popular star. Parag also participated in many shows with Shefali. She was a contestant on the 13th season of Bigg Boss. She married Harmeet Singh in 2004, but they separated in 2009. She married Parag Tyagi in 2015.

Shefali has reportedly been undergoing special treatment for about six years to maintain her youth. The medicines for this mainly include vitamin C and glutathione. Glutathione is used to protect the skin and detoxify it. However, experts say that none of these medicines affect the heart.
