NEW DELHI: UPSC to take strict action against controversial IAS trainee Puja Khedkar, who was found to have appeared in the exam using a fake certificate. UPSC has initiated action to cancel Puja Khedkar's IAS. A show-cause notice was sent to Puja ahead of the cancellation of her IAS. Puja has been debarred from appearing in civil services exams in future.
Delhi Police registered a case against Puja on the complaint of UPSC. An FIR was registered on the basis that investigations revealed that Puja had changed her name, parents' name, photograph, signature, e-mail ID, mobile number and address and appeared in the examination more than the permitted number of times.
Puja Khedkar, 32, who joined the Pune Collectorate as part of her probationary training, is also facing allegations of misusing the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Benchmark Disabled (PWBD) quota to crack the UPSC civil services exam. Following this she was called back by the Civil Service Academy, Dehradun. Puja 's mother Manorama was arrested last day in a case of trying to attack farmers in connection with a land dispute. For receiving bribe and obtaining wealth beyond the means Father, who is an active government employee. Leap is also a defendant in that case.
