
KOLKATA: West Bengal Governor Dr C V Ananda Bose tendered his resignation after three and a half years in the post. Ananda Bose did not specify the reason for leaving the post in his resignation letter to the President. Ananda Bose has been serving as the Governor of West Bengal since November 2022. There are also reports that he will enter the election fray as the assembly elections are approaching in Bengal and Kerala.
Retired IAS officer and writer Ananda Bose is a native of Mannanam, Kottayam. Ananda Bose told a news agency that he had spent enough time as Governor and has now decided to resign. The current governor of Tamil Nadu, R.N. Ravi, will be appointed as the governor of West Bengal. Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that Ananda Bose's resignation was shocking and alleged that it was the central government that forced him to the decision.
