Abusive comments against G Sudhakaran for praising Chennithala, CPM local committee member arrested

ALAPPUZHA: A CPM local committee member has been arrested for his abusive comments against senior CPM leader G Sudhakaran on social media. The arrested is Midhun Mohan of Karumadi Yamuna Bhavan and Ambalapuzha east local committee member. He was later released on bail. Mithun is DYFI regional joint secretary and a temporary employee of the Ambalapuzha temple. Charges of obscene language, defamation and making obscene comments through electronic media have been imposed on him.

Sudhakaran in a Facebook post praised senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala's social walk against drug addiction at the Alappuzha beach. Midhun posted obscene comments below it. G Sudhakaran then went to the Ambalapuzha police station and filed a complaint. The complaint also said that Midhun violated the temple administration rules. G Sudhakaran filed the complaint along with screenshots of the comment. Soon his comment disappeared from Facebook.

The march was organized under the auspices of an organization called Proud Kerala. Education Minister V Sivankutty also congratulated the march. Leaders like K C Venugopal, Shanimol Usman, and P Chitharanjan also participated in the march.
