ALAPPUZHA: The Excise Department has issued a notice to actors Shine Tom Chacko and Sreenath Bhasi in the Alappuzha hybrid cannabis case. Both of them have been instructed to appear for questioning on Monday. The move came after the Excise department collected WhatsApp chats and other evidence. Most of the chats found on Taslima’s phone were with Sreenath Bhasi.

Taslima, an accused in the Alappuzha hybrid cannabis case, had revealed to the Excise that she knew Shine Tom Chacko and other actors. She also stated in her testimony that she had used drugs along with Shine Tom Chacko. Shine Tom Chacko, during his arrest in Kochi, also admitted that he knew Taslima. The Excise Department is now working to clarify the nature of the relationship between the two and to investigate whether there were any drug-related transactions between them.
