Attappadi Madhu murder case: Family moves High Court demanding CBI probe

PALAKKAD: The family said they will approach the Kerala High Court seeking a CBI probe in the Attappadi Madhu murder case. Even after four years of his murder, the trial in the case has not yet begun. His sister Sarasu said she is disappointed with the delay in the trial.

Don’t know why the prosecutor is not appearing. Madhu's relatives alleged that they are not getting him on the phone and that the government and the prosecutor are keeping the family in the dark. Family members said there are more accused in the case.

Madhu (30), son of late Mallan of Mukkali near Attappadi, was beaten to death by local people on February 22 accusing him of theft. The locals brutally beat him to death for stealing food items from the shops in Mukkali area. Massive protests erupted after footages of the mentally ill youth being attacked circulated on the social media.
