KOCHI: A 15-year-old school boy was brutally attacked by four of his same age. The incident happened at Paingottoor in Ernakulam. After the video of the incident emerged, the Pothanicad police registered a case against the four under Section 325 of the Juvenile Justice Act. The action was taken after the four and their parents were summoned this morning and their statements were recorded. The police will summon the perpetrators based on the report submitted before the Juvenile Justice Board.

The incident happened a week ago. The boy was attacked at an unused police aid post near the Paingottoor bus stand. Three boys can be seen questioning the student and beating him repeatedly in the footage. The fourth boy captured the footage.

The footage circulating on social media shows the boy leaving the spot. The police summoned the boys’ parents and the victim based on the complaint filed by his father. However, when the parents of the boys started crying, the complaint was settled. Soon after this, the video of the attack started circulating. With this, the parents of the victim decided to go ahead with the complaint. It is reported that two of the four were students and the other two are dropouts.
