Young man and woman caught with hybrid ganja in Wayanad; ganja found hidden inside BMW car's trunk

KALPETTA: A young man and woman have been arrested in Wayanad for possession of hybrid ganja. The accused are Kannur Anchampeedika native K Fazal and Taliparamba native K Shinsitha. Authorities seized 20.80 grams of hybrid ganja from the two.

The BMW car they were travelling in, along with Rs 96,290 in cash and mobile phones, was taken into custody. The ganja was found stored in two packets inside the car's trunk. The arrest was made during a vehicle inspection conducted yesterday at Mothakkara. According to their statement to the police, they had purchased the ganja from Bengaluru for both personal use and for sale.
