‘I’ll commit suicide, you made me a notorious criminal'; Mani reiterates of being innocent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: D Mani reiterated that he does not know Unnikrishnan Potty, the accused in the gold smuggling case. He was responding to the media after being questioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the gold-plated sheets case. He repeated that he is a real estate businessman M S Mani and not D Mani. The SIT questioned Dindigul native D Mani (Diamond Mani) based on the statement of an expatriate businessman that gold plated sheets from Sabarimala were smuggled abroad. He also said that he is innocent.

'I don’t understand why you are questioning me like this. I have come to Kerala only once. That too to perform the rites of my father's death. I have come to Sabarimala occasionally, but I do not know this Unnikrishnan Potty. I am pictured as a notorious criminal in Kerala. I do not know anything about this.

Only after returning from the interrogation, I came to know that such a big issue was going on. Don't make me suffer like this. I will commit suicide. I am an ordinary person. Balamurugan is my friend. Investigate me. I don’t have a petty case in my name. I will prove that I have done nothing, clarified Mani.
