‘If higher-ups are involved in Sabarimala gold theft, they will be found, proper investigation is underway,' says P S Prasanth

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Devaswom Board president P S Prasanth said a proper investigation is underway in the Sabarimala gold theft. The court's observation is that the devaswom board did not inform the special commissioner in order to cover up the gold robbery. He said the board had issued an explanatory notice to the authorities concerned after realizing that the board had made a mistake.

All the perpetrators in the gold theft should be punished. Not even a single piece of Ayyappa’s gold should be lost. He added that if other high-ranking officials besides Murari Babu and Unnikrishnan Potty are involved, the perpetrators will be found and the investigation is being conducted properly. He said that he is confident that the investigation will reach the offenders and if Murari Babu is proven guilty, his pension benefits will be recovered.

The Devaswom Board has nothing to hide or conceal. Prasanth clarified that Unnikrishnan Potty's aim was to trap the devaswom board.
