THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former MLA Aisha Potty has responded to the criticism from CPM leaders for joining the Congress. Aisha Potty's response was that those who call her a class traitor should remember P Sarin and Shobhana George, who came to the CPM from other parties. Aisha Potty said that she was happy to be part of the national movement with more freedom and that the party that said it gave her everything no longer exists.

The criticism of CPM leaders is that Aisha Potty is greedy for power and has shown a deceitful approach despite being given all the positions. CPM General Secretary MA Baby had criticized that the party does not understand on what basis Aisha Potty says that the party did not give her opportunities. She was made an MLA three times and also a District Panchayat President. Her claim that she was ignored is not true. Aisha's decision does not create an impression. Complaints could have been raised within the party," MA Baby responded.

Aisha Potty surprisingly joined the Congress party yesterday at the Congress's day-night protest in front of the Lok Bhavan against the central government. She joined the protest along with opposition leader VD Satheesan. KPCC president Sunny Joseph gave her the membership. AICC general secretaries KC Venugopal and Deepa Dasmunsi presented her with a shawl. There are indications that Aisha Potty will be a candidate from Kottarakkara in the assembly elections.
