THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The stolen jewellery of a bride in Malayinkeezhu was found abandoned in the house premises on Thursday. The incident took place in Maranalloor in Thiruvananthapuram district.

The jewellery including the bangle and necklace worn by Hanna, wife of Maranalloor native Gil, was stolen on Uthradam day of Onam. It is reported that all the missing ornaments have been found. 25 sovereigns of gold were stolen from the house.

The wedding took place on Uthradam day. After the ceremony, Hanna removed her gold inside her room and went into the hall near the house premises to take part in the wedding feast. When returned after the event, the gold ornaments were missing.

The family complained to the police, the very next day, but all investigations proved futile. Amidst this roadblock, the ornaments were found abandoned in a plastic cover near the house premises. Maranalloor police reached the spot and conducted an investigation. Despite the good news, mystery still looms over the unidentified culprit.

As per the police, the culprit is likely to be a very close friend of the family. The investigation is ongoing.
