THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Revenue Minister K Rajan has said that strict action will be taken against the village offices which do not accept taxes paid directly even though the village office services are available online.
A circular will be issued to make the functioning of revenue offices including village and taluk flawless.
Departmental inspection will be tightened in revenue offices. Strict action will be taken against corrupt officials. A meeting is being held in Kollam tomorrow to further strengthen vigilance. 20 out of 21 revenue services are going online. But not everyone can use the system. Higher and General Education Departments, Youth Welfare Department and Kudumbashree will take steps for digital awareness through systems.
682 village offices have been turned into smart offices. 118 MLAs have agreed to allocate funds from their funds for the construction of smart village offices. Necessary equipment will be provided to the village offices from November 1.
There are 1.48 lakh complaints including land boundary disputes. Once the digital survey is completed, the complaints will be resolved.
A report has been received from the collector and the commissioner of land revenue regarding mass leave in the Konni taluk office.
This was also inquired by the additional chief secretary. Some new complaints have also been raised. All this will be checked and further action will be taken on the basis of KSR.
