Are gold panels and copper sheets of Dwarapalaka idols brought back to Sabarimala duplicate? Vigilance report expresses doubt

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The devaswom vigilance report suspects that the gold panels and copper sheets of Dwarapalaka idols brought back to Sabarimala are duplicates. The reason for the suspicion is the reduction in weight when returned after gold plated. The vigilance also expressed suspicion on the mystery behind handing over the panels to Nagesh of Hyderabad. The vigilance also has doubts on the continuous offerings, donations of lakhs and sponsorships of Unnikrishnan Potty, who has no income.

It is reported that the investigation team will soon take the accused including Unnikrishnan Potty into custody in the Sabarimala gold theft case. The special investigation team has collected crucial information from Sannidhanam and Bengaluru. The initial phase of the investigation is focused on finding the stolen gold and finding out where the Dwarapalaka panels were faked.
