Assam Uty hands over documents against CM’s additional private secretary on plagiarism

KASARGOD: Action on the complaint that thesis submitted by chief minister's additional private secretary Ratheesh Kaliyadan for PhD was plagiarized. Assam University handed over the documents to UGC. Kannur University Senate member Dr Shino P Jose had filed a complaint with the UGC Chairman, alleging that Assam University is deliberately delaying the process.

The complaint is that Ratheesh Kaliyadan plagiarized the PhD thesis submitted by one V Rajesh at the University of Mysore and submitted it to Assam University. Dr Shino P Jose, senate member and Kerala Private College Teachers Association (KPCTA) state secretary, had filed a complaint in this regard.

The documents alleged to be plagiarized were handed over to UGC for further action. However, Shino P Jose has demanded that the university and not the UGC, take action in this regard. The complainant has decided to approach the court if the UGC and Assam University have not taken exemplary action.
