Assaulting students at Erattupetta and Chathinamkulam: Teachers will be suspended 

THRISSUR: The Education Minister has ordered action in the incident where a teacher beat a third-grade student of Kollam Chathinamkulam MSM Higher Secondary School. Minister V. Sivankutty has directed the suspension of the teacher, Vinayak.

"Physical abuse against children will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Action will be taken against the teacher who assaulted a class V student at MMMUM UP School in Karakkad, Erattupetta as well. Officials have reported that the child has a shoulder injury. Since it is an aided school, the Kanjirappally DEO has issued a written order to the school manager to take immediate disciplinary action against the accused teacher."
