THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that there is a possibility of rain in Kerala for the next five days. The IMD has issued yellow alert in Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod tomorrow. The possibility of isolated heavy rain has been predicted. Heavy rain is defined as a situation where 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain is received in 24 hours.

Fishermen cautioned
The IMD has informed that fishing should not be done along the Kerala - Karnataka - Lakshadweep coasts from 26/08/2025 to 28/08/2025.
From 26/08/2025 to 28/08/2025: Strong winds gusting up to 40 to 50 kmph and occasionally up to 60 kmph and bad weather is likely along the Kerala - Karnataka - Lakshadweep coasts.
Special alert issued
25/08/2025: Strong winds gusting up to 45 to 55 kmph and occasionally up to 65 kmph are likely over the west central Arabian Sea, adjoining southwest Arabian Sea, east central Arabian Sea and adjoining north Arabian Sea.
Strong winds gusting up to 40 to 50 kmph and occasionally up to 60 kmph are likely over the south Gujarat coast, north Konkan coast and adjoining northeast Arabian Sea, south Tamil Nadu coast, Gulf of Mannar and Kanyakumari area and bad weather is likely. Fishing is not permitted in these areas on the above dates.
