KOCHI: Police say that 30-year-old Nivya, who broke her mother's ribs for putting away face cream, is an accused in a murder and marijuana case. The police are considering including the woman in the rowdy list and charging her with KAAPA. Nivya is an accused in the murder of a man named Fahad Hussain in Nettoor in 2020, the seizure of three and a half kilos of cannabis, and kidnapping.

Meanwhile, Nivya's five-year-old son has been shifted to the Child Welfare Committee's protection centre. This is after the doctor advised the seriously injured Sarasu, mother of Nivya, to rest for six months. It is reported that Nivya attacked her mother not for hiding her face cream but over money disputes.

Sarasu and her family have been living in Panangad for the past ten years. She raised Nivya and her eldest daughter by doing domestic work. When Nivya turned 20, she became involved in marijuana and joined a gang. In the meantime, Nivya got married, and it didn’t take that long for the couple to separate. The young woman attacked her mother while she was out on bail in a cannabis case.

The incident related to the case took place on January 19. The woman grabbed Sarasu by the neck and broke her ribs with a metal rod. Sarasu filed a complaint with the police the next day after the incident. With this, Nivya went to a friend's house in Wayanad. From there, the Panangad police arrested her.
