Attention passengers! Two trains cancelled on Ernakulam route, three trains to run late

ALUVA: There will be restrictions in train traffic in Kerala today due to maintenance work on the railway flyover across the Periyar. Two trains, including Palakkad Ernakulam MEMU (66609) and Ernakulam - Palakkad MEMU (66610), have been cancelled today. Three trains will be delayed.

Indore - Thiruvananthapuram North Express (22645), Kannur - Alappuzha Executive (16308), and Secunderabad - Thiruvananthapuram Central Sabari Express (17230) will be delayed. The maintenance work will continue till next Sunday. Therefore, the Ernakulam - Palakkad and Palakkad - Ernakulam MEMU services on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday will stand cancelled.

It is also reported that some trains will be running late or delayed in the coming four days due to maintenance work. The update on the train number and details will be released by the railways on time without causing distress to passengers.

Railway officials advised passengers to check the timings on the Rail One app and make travel arrangements only after checking the timings. The Indore-Thiruvananthapuram North Express will be delayed by one hour and 30 minutes. The Kannur-Alappuzha Executive will be delayed by one hour and 20 minutes, and the Secunderabad-Thiruvananthapuram Central Sabari Express will be delayed by 30 minutes.
