Baby dies after breast milk gets stuck in throat

KADAKKAL: A two-and-a-half-month-old baby died after breast milk got stuck in his throat. The deceased is Ariana, daughter of Sajin and Rini of Parijatham, in Pangalukad, Kadakkal. Yesterday afternoon, after breastfeeding the baby, they put their daughter to sleep on the bed. While Rini was talking on the phone with her husband, who is abroad, the baby showed discomfort and later became motionless. Although she was immediately taken to Kadakkal Taluk Hospital, she could not be saved. After the postmortem at Paripally Medical College, the body was shifted to Kadakkal Taluk Hospital. The funeral will be held later. Kadakkal police have registered a case of unnatural death.
