Deserving positions should be claimed in local elections: Vellappally
S.N. Trust Secretary Vellappally Natesan said that the community members should claim the positions they deserve in local elections and consider it a matter of pride. He was speaking at the SN Trust annual meeting held at the SN College Auditorium in Cherthala, welcoming the members and presenting the report and accounts.
“We should understand the times and show the will to seize positions. We should think about where the secularists are and where the religious ones are. No front has given priority to the Ezhavas. In Malappuram, where the Ezhavas are in large numbers, there is not even a village school for the community. I am being portrayed as a communalist for openly speaking about the deprivation and truths of the community. 26 percent of the state budget is for the education sector. Yet what did the Ezhavas get? They twisted what I said and made me an anti-Muslim, and burned flex boards. They are united on the issue of the community, but there are traitors among us. Only if we recognize that, the future generation will be saved,” said Vellappally.
