Complaint filed by ADGP S Sreejith, KM Shahjahan fined five lakh rupees

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The court has fined vlogger KM Shahjahan in the defamation case filed by ADGP S Sreejith. Shahjahan made a video on YouTube as soon as S Sreejith, who was the ADGP of Police Headquarters, took charge. S Sreejith had filed a civil and criminal complaint against Shahjahan, alleging that there were defamatory things in that video.

The court ordered KM Shahjahan to pay Rs 5 lakh along with interest to S Sreejith in the civil case. The sentence was given by the Thiruvananthapuram Munsif Magistrate Court. The court also ordered Shahjahan to pay court costs along with the fine. Similar cases have been filed against him before. The verdict in the criminal case filed by the ADGP is yet to come.
