CPM hooliganism; candidates threatened and democracy slaughtered, says VD Satheesan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan said that CPM candidates are celebrating their victory in Kannur before the elections by slaughtering democracy. He also pointed out in a statement that what is coming out through the celebrations of the CPM is the evil of the party that does not allow opposing candidates or opposing politics by showing hooliganism and intimidation.

CPM criminals threatened those who were ready to become UDF candidates in the state secretary's ward. Pinarayi Vijayan and M.V. Govindan, who do not allow democracy and freedom in the panchayat, their own ward and district, are taking classes against fascism. CPM should not forget that there were bigger party villages in Bengal and Tripura.

A group of election officials worked like the CPM faction to illegally reject the nomination papers of UDF candidates after careful scrutiny. In Malapattam, Kannapuram and Anthoor in Kannur district, where there is a threat from the CPM criminal gang. For rejecting the UDF candidate's nomination in Malapattam Panchayat, the officer made a strange discovery that the signature of the candidate before the returning officer was forged. Police officials tried to delay the UDF candidate who had come to file his corrected nomination in the Ernakulam Kadamakkudy district panchayat division from appearing before the returning officer. The UDF will legally confront the biased action of the election officials, Satheesan clarified.
