THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Reports said DGP Sheikh Darvesh Sahib has given strict directions to the members of the investigation team that the probe against the ADGP and others should be strictly confidential. The investigation against many including the ADGP is based on the statement and revelations of P V Anwar MLA.
Investigation against the allegations of Anwar is progressing. The DGP's strict instruction is not to disclose the identity of each in the investigation team. Everything, including ADGP's house construction and meeting RSS leader is under investigation. So, directed to consider the investigation very seriously. The report of Ajith Kumar meeting RSS national spokesperson R Ram Madhav in Kovalam was revealed the other day.
Meanwhile, the DGP has also directed that no further action should be taken on ADGP Ajith Kumar's letter that lower officials of the investigation team need not report to him. This is because it was seen that if the order is issued following the letter, it would be against rules. The ADGP issued the directive when questions were raised as to how the investigation would proceed as lower-ranking officers were part of the investigation team. He also demanded the DGP to issue an order in this regard. He decided not to issue an order because he saw that if such an order is issued, it will lead to legal problems.
Meantime, despite the investigation, Ajith Kumar was not removed from his law-and-order duties. Ajith is going on leave for four days from September 14 to 17.
