THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In violation of a circular issued by the State Police Chief, members of the women’s battalion have once again recorded Instagram reels while on duty. The incident took place during deployment at Kaliyakkavilai, where officers filmed reels and later shared them on social media. The video even featured a Sub-Inspector as well as an office bearer of the police association.
The Director General of Police had earlier issued strict instructions banning the recording of reels during duty hours, following repeated incidents involving uniformed personnel. The circular made it clear that officers were not permitted to film or share reels in police uniform. Despite this directive, the latest incident shows that members of the women’s battalion have once again disregarded the order by filming reels while on duty.
