THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister K B Ganesh Kumar stepped forward clarifying that he has no intention to resign his ministerial berth. Some are eagerly waiting to drink my blood. He said this while speaking at a programme of KSRTC in Thiruvananthapuram. He said this can be considered as his farewell speech as a minister. He added that once the elections are announced, the minister will have no value.
The minister’s wife Bindu Menon had raised serious allegations against him. She had revealed that she saw Ganesh Kumar with another woman in a compromising position at his family home in Valakom and that the minister's employees used force against her. Following this, opposition leaders came forward demanding Ganesh's resignation.
Meantime, her allegations against Ganesh Kumar reached a compromise this morning. Bindu said that Ganesh Kumar had apologized to her. Bindu clarified that Ganesh spoke to her sister and had apologized. Later, the front took the stand that there was no need for Ganesh to resign.
Speaker A N Shamseer responded that the allegations were a closed chapter. He said the media brought a family issue and that they had resolved it themselves.
‘The media published what she said. Naturally, she herself said that it has been solved. I don't believe that family issues will turn political issues. There is no need to politicise it. There is no assembly session now. Elections will be announced in two or three days. Let the people decide what happens after that," clarified Shamseer.
