Five-year-old boy drowns in pond in Vaikom

KOTTAYAM: A five-year-old boy drowned in a pond at Udayanapuram in Vaikom, Kottayam. The boy has been identified as Farzaan, son of Abdul Gafoor of Bihar. He along with his relatives was playing in the bank of the pond. Meanwhile, Farzaan fell into the water. Though the locals tried to save him, his life could not be saved.

Farzaan was a student of Irumpoozhikkara LP School. He has been living here for the past five years. His body has been shifted to the hospital. It will be handed over to his family after postmortem.
