Flex, banners obstructing pathways: Justice Devan Ramachandran issues final warning to govt officials

KOCHI: Justice Devan Ramachandran has warned officials about facing the wrath of the law if disregarded the court order to remove the flex and banners from obstructing pathways in major cities and streets of the state. An amicus curiae report found an increase in the number of flex and banners reaching the streets in Kerala.

The court approved the committee formed in panchayats to discuss the issue but said no appreciable progress has been achieved so far. The advocate who appeared for the government explained the government's stance saying it was not disregarding the court order but the procedure forming which is taking its time. The court thus moved the case to be discussed on June 8th.
