Hate speech: BJP leader PC George files bail application again

KOTTAYAM: PC George, who was remanded in the hate speech case in a channel discussion, has filed a bail application again. PC George filed his bail application in the Erattupetta Magistrate Court. The court will consider it on Thursday.

PC George was admitted to the hospital after he experienced health problems after being remanded yesterday. He is currently under the observation of doctors in the Cardiology ICU of the Kottayam Medical College. The doctors have recommended 48-hour observation. George was taken to the Medical College after a change was found in his ECG. The police will take the final decision on transferring him to jail after his health condition improves.

PC George surrendered before the Erattupetta Court yesterday morning. Although he had announced that he would be at the Erattupetta police station for questioning, PC George, who surrendered before the court, moved forward with the case seeking bail. However, the court released him to police custody.
