Home guard dies after electric post falls on him in Kottayam

KOTTAYAM: An employee of the fire force office died after an electric post breaks and falls on him in Mundakayam. The dead is K S Suresh, home guard of the fire force office in Kanjirapally and a native of Karinilam in Mundakayam.

The incident happened this morning at 11 am when he was felling the tree slanting on the electric line. The electric post broke and fell on him. He tried to run, but couldn’t. Suresh, who was seriously injured was rushed to a private hospital in Mundakayam, but his life could not be saved. His ribs were broken and doctors said his death was due to this.
