Kerala Kaumudi impact; damaged roads in city to be repaired soon

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a meeting chaired by Mayor Arya Rajendran, a decision was taken to repair the damaged roads in the city. The roads were damaged for the construction of Smart roads. The action was taken after Kerala Kaumudi published a report titled ‘Kuzhikadakathe nagarapathakal’ about the miserable journey of the city dwellers through the roads. Councilors and Smart City officials participated in the meeting. The Smart City authorities have been directed to make all the roads tarred and ready for transportation before March. It was also agreed in the meeting that all the roads that have been damaged in nine wards should be tarred using the funds of Smart City.

It has been specially instructed to complete the construction work before the Attukal pongala on March 7. It has also been decided to give contracts as small tenders for speedy completion of works.
