KSRTC employee dies after car hits electric post in Thodupuzha

THODUPUZHA: An employee of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) died after his car hit an electric post near Muttom in Idukki. He has been identified as Sajeev (52) of Mrala in Idukki. He was an employee of KSRTC depot in Adoor. The accident happened Sunday morning at 3.30 am.

The car met with the accident on the Perumattom-Thekkubhagam Road. The car that hit the electric post on the road overturned. The locals hearing a big sound rushed to the spot and carried out the rescue operations. The seriously injured Sajeev was immediately taken to a private hospital in Thodupuzha, but his life could not be saved. Sajeev and his family live near the Mrala Post Office. He leaves behind his wife Preethi, who runs K K Medicals in Muttom Town. The couple has two children.
