Lorry collides with scooter, elderly man meets with tragic death

IDUKKI: An elderly man met with a tragic death after his scooter collided with a lorry. The deceased has been identified as Jayan (67), a native of Velloorkunnam. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. today in Muvattupuzha.

After the scooter hit the lorry, Jayan fell onto the road and the lorry ran over his head. The scooter was coming from the Kacherithazham area. Jayan died on the spot. Locals immediately informed the police and the fire force. The body has been shifted to the General Hospital and will be handed over to the relatives after the postmortem.
