Mother-in-law's constant insults, skin colour taunts and more; Jismol's friend makes shocking revelation

KOTTAYAM: Nila, the close friend of Advocate Jismol, who died by suicide along with her two children, made some shocking revelations. Jismol committed suicide a few days back by jumping into the Meenachil River with her two children.

According to Nila, when she met Jismol last November:

There were frequent quarrels at her home. The mother-in-law constantly insulted Jismol and her children over their skin colour. Jismol was inconsolably crying while revealing her ordeals. There were disputes over dowry, and her husband Jimmy used to physically torture her. Jismol even revealed how her husband threw her out of the house for one week. Jismol stopped making further revelations for the sake of her family.

Jismol’s family will file a complaint with the Chief Minister, DGP and the Women's Commission regarding the incident today.
