THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), State President PC Chacko announced that Thomas K. Thomas will replace AK Saseendran as a minister. This decision comes under the leadership of Sharad Pawar, with Chacko stating that he will inform Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of this change on October 3rd.
“There is only one thing before us now: a decision made by our party. Thomas K. Thomas should be appointed as minister in place of Saseendran. This is the consensus of the party, reached in the presence of Sharad Pawar. He has instructed me to inform the Chief Minister about this,” said Chacko.
Chacko also indicated that he, Saseendran, and Thomas would meet with the Chief Minister together to discuss the transition. “When we say that the three of us will go and see the Chief Minister and that it is the decision of the party's high command, there is no difference of opinion,” he emphasized.
Previously, it was indicated that AK Saseendran would step down, although no official confirmation had been made at that time. Recently, Chacko informed the media that Sharad Pawar had directed Saseendran to resign.
