New record! Sabarimala Mandalakala season revenue touches Rs 332 crore

PATHANAMTHITTA: The total income during the Mandalakala pilgrimage season in Sabarimala reached Rs 332,77,05132. This includes income from offerings, appam, aravana, room rents and auctions. The income received as offerings was Rs 83,17,61,509, according to a press release issued by the Sabarimala Sannidhanam Media Centre.

Last year, after 41 days, the income was Rs 297,06,67,679. This year, Rs 35.70 crore excess was recorded in revenue during the same period. Last year, the income received as offerings was Rs 80,25,74,567.

30,56,871 people visited Sabarimala till Saturday afternoon this season. 37,521 people visited on Friday, and 17,818 people visited till 1 pm today.
