KOCHI: For someone paying Rs 150 for a chicken biriyani, expecting chicken pieces to be stuffed in it in an appropriate quantity is no big crime. It is natural for anyone to lose their temper or get puzzled to see no chicken pieces in the biriyani that we paid for. Something similar took place in a police station in Kochi, but with a twist.

A strange incident took place at the traffic police station in Palluruthy, Kochi. Two home guards fought over the chicken biryani they received. The incident occurred on the retirement day of an officer at the station. As part of the farewell party, biryani was provided to every officer. One of the officials was stunned to see that he received a packet of biriyani with no chicken pieces inside.

Then, a home guard named George and another home guard named Radhakrishnan got into an argument and a fistfight over the matter. The fight quickly morphed into extreme physical exchanges. The incident turned into a total embarrassment when the two of them reached the road in front of the station. Radhakrishnan suffered head injuries in the fight. He was admitted to Ernakulam General Hospital. It is reported that disciplinary action will be taken against both of them.
