THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Crime Branch has dismissed allegations by CPM State Secretary MV Govindan that KPCC president K Sudhakaran is a co-accused in the POCSO case against Monson Mavunkal. MV Govindan had earlier claimed that Sudhakaran will be questioned in the POCSO case.

The crime branch clarified that the notice to question Sudhakaran was issued only in the fraud case. According to CB, there is no such statement on the part of the survivor against Sudhakaran. The notice for questioning was issued in the case where Monson was named as the first accused and K Sudhakaran as the second accused.

MV Govindan said in a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram that K Sudhakaran is a co-accused in the POCSO case against Monson Mavunkal. He claimed that the survivor has testified that K Sudhakaran was there when Monson Mavunkal was abusing her. Govindan also alleged that despite knowing about the abuse, Sudhakaran did not intervene.

But K Sudhakaran responded in the press conference that this is a matter that he isn't aware of and he has nothing to do with the POCSO case.
