PALAKKAD: Rahul Mamkootathil MLA, who earned ill repute over the volley of sexual assault allegations, is likely to reach Palakkad today to cast vote. Rahul will cast his vote at booth number 2 of St. Sebastian's School in Kunnathurmedu South in Palakkad Municipality. Rahul’s apartment is located in this ward. This is the sitting seat of the Congress.

This is the first local body election after Rahul Mamkootathil became an MLA. The rumours of Rahul likely to reach Palakkad today surfaced after the court granted him anticipatory bail with conditions in a case based on a complaint filed by a 23-year-old woman living in Bengaluru.

Rahul was active in Palakkad in the first phase of the local body elections. However, he had to go into hiding from the constituency after the Chief Minister received a complaint from a woman who alleged facing brutal sexual assault from the MLA.
