President Droupadi Murmu in Sabarimala today; Arrangements changed considering weather conditions 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: President Droupadi Murmu will visit Sabarimala Temple today. The President departed to Sabarimala by an IAF helicopter from the Thiruvananthapuram airport at 9.10 am. Some changes have been made in her trip considering the adverse weather conditions including rain. The helicopter will land at Pramadam Indoor Stadium near Mallassery in Pathanamthitta. It was earlier decided to land the helicopter at Nilakkal. However, the new decision is to land at Pramadam and go to Pampa by road.

She will reach Sannidhanam in a special vehicle from Pampa. Minister V N Vasavan and Devaswom Board office bearers will officially receive the President in front of the holy (18) steps. She will then climb the steps. Her Ayyappa darshan will be at 12.10. She will later rest at the Devaswom Guest House.

She will return to Thiruvananthapuram by night and attend a dinner hosted by Governor Rajendra Viswanath Arlekar at Hotel Hyatt Regency. Restrictions have been imposed at Sabarimala in connection with the President's visit. On October 23 at 10.30 am, the half-length statue of K R Narayanan will be unveiled at Raj Bhavan. She will be the chief guest at the Sree Narayana Guru Mahasamadhi Centenary Celebrations at Sivagiri in Varkala at 12.50 pm.

On October 24, the President will land at the Naval Headquarters in Kochi at 11.35 am and will participate as the chief guest in the centenary celebrations of St. Teresa's College, Ernakulam. After lunch at Bolgatty Palace, she will return to Delhi from the international airport at 4.05 pm.
