Race between buses belonging to same owner; woman meets tragic end in Kochi

KOCHI: A motorcycle rider died after being trapped between two private buses at the Menaka Junction in Ernakulam. Another person was seriously injured. The preliminary information suggests that the accident occurred during a race between the buses. The deceased has been identified as Sanitha (36), a native of Thoppumpady. She and her husband were travelling on the motorcycle when the bus coming from behind hit them.

Both buses involved in the race belonged to the same owner. Although Sanitha was immediately rushed to the Ernakulam General Hospital, her life could not be saved.
