CHALAKUDY: A woman has filed a complaint in the incident of the death of a man due to the negligence of the railways. Surya, a native of Kayamkulam, has filed a complaint with the railway police regarding the death of Sreejith (26), the son of Subran, a native of Kodassery. The man's family has also demanded legal action in the incident.

Sreejith died on the platform of Mulagunnathukavu railway station on the morning of the 5th of last month due to chest pain. Sreejith and his fiancée Surya had come from Hyderabad on the Mumbai-Ernakulam Okha Express. The complaint states that the TTRs were not ready to drop Sreejith, who had chest pain, at Wadakkanchery.

The doctor who was travelling with Sreejith had confirmed that he had suffered a heart attack. The doctor had advised him to be taken to the hospital as soon as possible, but the TTR did not comply. Following strong intervention by other passengers, the information was later reported to Mulankunnathukavu station and the train was stopped there. However, the station master, who had not even prepared an ambulance, did not intervene and immediately gave the signal for the train to depart.

The woman and some of her assistants stopped the train by climbing onto the tracks. In the meantime, the doctor who was with them gave CPR to Sreejith. However, by the time the ambulance arrived after a long time, Sreejith had breathed his last. The woman filed a complaint alleging serious negligence on the part of the railways. Sreejith was an Ayurvedic therapist. Mother: Usha. Brother: Sreejish.
